I opened the doors of Milkcrate Cafe last Tuesday, and the response has been incredible. People have been buying coffee, bagels, pastries & records!!! This project took several months to get open, but after some road bumps, odd jobs, long days, sleepless nights & a whole lot of love this bad boy is finally open for business. After months of 17 hour days/nights to make the final push to take the paper off the windows & get the doors open...I am so proud to be a new business in Fishtown & to have one full week of being open under my belt. It's been a wonderfully hectic week, and I finally I got a little break in the action today, so I want to take this time to tell my customers, neighbors & friends a few things ....
1. We have much, much more in store. More delicious menu items like fresh soups, salads & sandwiches will be available within the coming months. I know the neighborhood needs more than bagels & pastries, so please bear with us......I promise you all will be very pleased in a few months.
2. More records!!!! The record store should be open in less than 2 weeks (we tried really hard to get this open last weekend, but couldn't pull it off in time. So just know we can't wait for you all to dig through our crates. We have been super busy pricing a ton of goodies for the vinyl lovers of Fishtown & Philly.
3. This is the list of some incredible people who are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overdue for a big fat "Thank You" from the kid. I couldn't have done this without their help, love & guidance.
